Holistic cure for acid reflux, is it yours? I can’t tell you for sure, but I can tell you things that can help you or people that can help you, but for now I’m going to tell you foods to avoid. Certain foods can make your body work harder, causing you to produce extra stomach acids in your body, it’s a good idea to avoid most of these foods completely and some on a limited basis, especially right before bed. So what are these foods? Well here they are.

Fried foods: Fats are difficult for the stomach to digest, when something is difficult for the stomach to digest, the stomach is forced to produce additional acids. High-fat foods such as cheeses, cream, butter, whole or 2% milk, ice cream, mayonnaise, salad dressings, and fatty beef. You may still enjoy some of these products, just make sure you choose the low-fat kind.

Spicy foods: Spicy foods can irritate the stomach lining, causing it to produce more acids. Foods with a lot of hot sauce or hot peppers such as chicken wings, which are spicy and fried, should be avoided.

Sweets- Many sweet foods have large amounts of fat and oil. Cheesecakes, donuts, and shortbread cookies should be avoided. Chocolate causes acid reflux in some people, if you have heartburn after eating chocolate it can be difficult, but try to avoid it too.

Even some more foods that were said to be avoided in the past are accepted, such as coffee and citrus fruits such as lemons, oranges, limes and grapefruits.

This alone may not be a holistic acid reflux cure, but it is part of several steps that, when put together, can be a holistic acid reflux cure.

Fruits and vegetables: Most of the unseasoned vegetables are fine, carrots, peas, potatoes, and green beans. Add spicy seasonings, cream, or too much butter to greatly increase your chances of experiencing heartburn. Apples and bananas are the two best fruits to eat with acid reflux.

Meats and Dairy: Most lean meats like skinless chicken breasts, lean ground beef and fish (don’t fry them), and egg whites are good choices.
