Staying productive at work is one of the most difficult tasks for many employees. Today, your efficiency and productivity matter much more than anything, a slight oversight in this element and you can land in serious trouble. Here are seven ways to increase your daily productivity at work.

List

It all starts with the list. If you haven’t created a list, create one. If you’ve created a rough list overnight, the first thing to do before you get to your desk is to improve that list and add whatever is left behind.

Worst first or most urgent first

We have all experienced this, there is always a pending task on our head that just does not seem to finish or even and it also seems that it will not be solved. Go over and put it on the plate, knock this one out of your way, make it a priority to complete that day, whether it takes a whole day to finish.

Do it or just do it

You must have a pencil holder at your work desk, well, if you don’t have one, buy one and if you have one, make it yourself. Use a highlighter to cross out items on your list that you have already completed.

Make work fun for you

Enjoy your work, life is short. Reward yourself with short breaks, or listen to some music while you work or you can even go for coffee or a snack.

Rush hours

Identify the time when you are most productive, believe me, there are times in a day when we are most productive and least productive. When this time comes, close your cubicle or office so that no one will disturb you and you can do your work.

Pareto (90/10)

Use this to your advantage. Find clients, articles or projects that are more important and take little time. You can spend more time on these items.

By batch

As you finish your tasks, short emails and phone calls can be very distracting. So all you have to do is bundle your email sessions into 3-4 batches in one day. This will help you keep track and will not disrupt your pareto work schedule the next day.
