This notification is published for efficient candidates for MHA Recruitment in Group-B PA (Personal Assistant) Positions in the Intelligence Office of the Government of India. There are vacancies and the following are required:

Candidates possessing 10 + 2 or intermediate or 12 or some equivalent from a recognized institute.

The IB stands for Intelligence Bureau. It is the oldest intelligence agency in the world. It is the Internal Agency of India formed in the year 1887. The IB headquarters is located in New Delhi, India. The Intelligence Office is directly under the control of the Ministry of the Interior.

The IB publishes annual recruitment notices for applicants for various positions in the Intelligence Department. However, candidates are selected based on their performance in the written test and interview. Eligible applicants who are interested in taking positions in the police department or central government can apply for these positions through the online mode after the publication of the notification.

IB PA Exam Pattern (Personal Assistant)

Objective document on general awareness, reasoning and numerical ability 80 questions for 80 points.

Written exam of 70 points. This includes:

Write an essay in English/Hindi in 300 words. 4 themes will be given and you can choose one. This is for 25 marks.

Comprehension in English/Hindi for 15 points.

English/Hindi test on synonyms, antonyms, language, substitution of a word by 30 points

Both the objective and the written exam last 2 hours.

This is followed by a shorthand skills test, in which shorthand in either English or Hindi is expected at 100 words per minute. This is the following:

Dictation for 10 minutes at a speed of 100 words per minute.

Shorthand computer transcription as a test of skill, where 40 minutes is given for English transcription while 55 minutes is given for Hindi transcription.

Total time for both dictation and computer transcription is 50 minutes.

Selection process

Candidates who achieve a specific level with the written test are informed to sit the skill test. The time, date and time of the skill test will be reported online to such candidates. Admission cards can be downloaded online.

Upon successful completion of both, a written and ability, character, background check, and medical exam follow.
